While MCE had become synonymous with local, cost-competitive renewable energy, its online presence did not fully reflect its status as a trailblazer among CCAs. The existing site was dense, challenging to navigate, and lacking in user-friendly design—a stark contrast to the approachable, community-focused spirit of the organization. A fresh digital platform was needed to amplify MCE’s mission, showcase program successes, and meet government compliance standards, all while engaging diverse audiences: residents, businesses, and elected officials.
The goal was to build a more accessible and engaging website that positions MCE as the national leader for CCAs—one that supports visitors in understanding, adopting, and benefiting from MCE’s sustainable energy programs.
JSR’s website redesign for MCE emphasized a complete sitemap rebuild and a thorough rewrite of core content, placing customer experience at the forefront. By streamlining navigation and adopting straightforward language, the updated site now engages visitors with clear, actionable information. MCE’s new online presence effectively conveys the organization’s clean energy mission, simplifying user paths and fostering deeper connections with residents, businesses, and local officials.
